About Apostle RJ Williams

With an unquenchable passion for God’s presence and a divine mandate to equip and train the body of Christ in spiritual gifts, Apostle R.J. Williams is truly God’s chosen vessel for this hour.

Apostle R.J. Williams was nurtured in the church and taught to love God by his parents, Rev. Robert and Patricia Williams. He accepted Christ at the young age of seven and acknowledged his call to ministry at just 13 years old. After receiving formal biblical training, he was ordained as a Minister by Pastor Carolyn Jenkins of Fresh Anointing Worship Center in Evanston, Illinois. During his time at Fresh Anointing, he served faithfully in multiple capacities, including Worship Leader, Choir Director, and Armor Bearer to the pastor.

Following his time at Fresh Anointing, the Lord led Apostle Williams to New Life Covenant Oakwood Church on the Southside of Chicago, where he served under Pastor John F. Hannah as a member of the worship team for two years. After being released to pursue his God-given purpose, Apostle Williams established True Word Prophetic Ministries International on September 9, 2005. He was later licensed and ordained as a Pastor by Apostle Christine Morris of the First Pentecostal Churches of God, Inc., faithfully serving under her leadership until her passing.

In January 2009, Apostle Williams heard the call of the Lord to the Apostolic office. After making full proof of his ministry, he was consecrated as an Apostle in the Lord’s Church on October 11, 2015, under Apostles Curtis and Linda Stennis. He previously served in InCovenant Ministries Fellowship International for 16 years and is now under Bishop Hudson with Power House Churches International.

Apostle Williams is the Founder of Ignite International Inc., which has hubs in Chicago and Houston. Formerly known as Empowering Word, the ministry was renamed in 2020. He is also the Founder of RJ Williams Ministries.

In 2017, Apostle Williams released his first single, Prostrate, and in 2024, he released his first devotional, Life Lessons: Things I’ve Learned Along the Way, available on Amazon.

Apostle Williams is a highly sought-after preacher, revivalist, prophet, and psalmist. His God-driven mission is to empower God’s people through worship, the Word, and prayer. His divine anointing to preach and teach from a prophetic platform has strengthened, empowered, and ignited the faith of people across denominational lines.
